5,221 Precinct Captains and 176 County Chairmen Working in All 46 Counties
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham’s re-election campaign today announced a massive grassroots army that has already been at work building support for Senator Graham for several months in all 46 counties.
The political network consists of 5,221 Precinct Captains who have pledged to volunteer in their community with traditional grassroots campaign activities like distributing signs, making calls, walking in neighborhoods, and recruiting supporters online. The campaign also announced 176 County Chairmen who will help coordinate the campaign’s efforts in each of their respective counties.
“I’m incredibly humbled and grateful to have such a tremendous grassroots network of supporters working on Team Graham,” said Graham. “Grassroots activists and volunteers are the backbone of any campaign, and that’s certainly true for our team. As I travel to every corner of the state spreading our conservative message of getting things done for South Carolina, I can feel the energy and momentum building as I talk with our supporters and volunteers.”
“As a former Executive Director of the South Carolina Republican Party, I’ve seen a lot of statewide campaigns over the past twenty years,” said Luke Byars, one of the Team Graham county chairmen for Lexington county. “Outside of presidential campaigns, the size and scope of Senator Graham’s grassroots organization is unprecedented. I’m proud to be a part of such an impressive team.”
In just a few months, Graham’s volunteers have registered new voters, walked in parades, attended festivals, spoken on college campuses, attended Republican meetings, assisted at campaign events, distributed signs and materials, walked in neighborhoods, and made over 400,000 phone calls.
